Brian and Jackie’s 100 Neoliberal Climate Change Crusade Plays to Conquer the Malaise of Your Fears to Do Anything in the Age of Climate Change [2022]

Brian and Jackie’s 100 Neoliberal Climate Change Crusade Plays to Conquer the Malaise of Your Fears to Do Anything in the Age of Climate Change is a satirical performance about truth, fear, and absurdity in the age of climate change. Pushing all possible limits to extreme (duration, quantity, and aesthetics) Jackie and Brian, the self-important theatre artists set out to make great art. These two clowns compete against the inevitability of time to tell the story about what they believe to be the unavoidable end. The show unfolds like a social media feed wiring snippets of ideas, meme humor, and emotional bait through a subconscious of climate associations: a world where polar bears go vegan, bicycles have gone extinct and plays where trash bags transform into kites, parachutes, and superhero capes.
